Where it began…
Bit-O-Beads Jewelry was born in 2006 in Columbus, Ohio by me, Sarah. It all began with one small dream, lots of creative jewelry making and most of all the journey through people, who keep me continually inspired and designing!
Following graduation from THE Ohio State University and a trip to Hobby Lobby with 32 BUCKS, I was able to cultivate a line of Buckeye jewelry from a booth in front of the 7-Eleven store across from THE Ohio State stadium. Shortly after I started sales, I was able to expand and start joining some of the local craft shows.
In 2007, I was able to take a hiatus to Key West, Florida and avoid the BRUTAL Ohio Winter. As I was walking the beautiful landscapes of the Florida Keys, I was inspired to create genuine beach glass jewelry with pieces that I had found on the spectacular beach fronts. The streets of Key West were loving and generous, with their support I was able to add a Swarovski crystal line.
This small dream of mine has only been possible because of everyone that has provided me with support, feedback and criticism! I appreciate it all! I strive to continue this journey in a positive light and hope you would join along!
